If you want to see what gifts states give to the people on Eid, look at Pakistan.
The leaders and members of the Baloch Yakjetee Committee are being arrested for raising their voices against enforced disappearances, while the water of Sindh is being looted and handed over to canals and corporate farming built under the same imperialist interests. Action is being taken against those who resist this anti-people project, especially the members of Mirwah Bachao Tehreek, but more than six false FIRs have been registered so far.

On the other hand, the state has once again intensified operations against Afghan refugees, such that all resources have been occupied by them. DHA and other exploitative projects do not exist. In fact, the state is taking revenge on Afghan refugees for its failed policies because it thought that after the US withdrawal, the Taliban regime would submit to it, but this did not happen and could not happen.

Often, these refugees are thanked for giving shelter to Pakistan and the question is asked how long this hospitality will continue. This is a misleading narrative. Pakistan’s role in Afghanistan has always been that of a sub-imperialist state, which has been an agent of US imperialism since the Thor Revolution and has been earning dollars from destruction and bloodshed in Afghanistan. She not only facilitated the various factions of the Taliban but also considered them her asset, ie she played both sides. But when the Taliban did not fulfill this role after coming to power, various tactics were used to put pressure on them, including evictions to forcibly evict the descendants of Afghan refugees, including those who were born in Pakistan and are citizens of Pakistan.
Karachi is the city where the image of state atrocities is seen first because it is the city that has embraced people of every language, nation, religion and sect. There were riots, conspiracies, but the people returned to peace again and again. We have been struggling for the last five years in the slums of the city where people of all nationalities, castes and creeds are living together and many have become relatives.
The forced eviction of Afghan refugees is a complex issue in Sindh, especially Karachi, as millions of people have settled here in the past for various reasons. But we have to understand that the same forces that are expelling these refugees today are also occupying our resources and want to create an atmosphere of riots in Sindh once again. At this time, it is most important that all progressive organizations, intellectuals, and the public find a solution to the non-adversarial contradictions created among themselves and promote joint resistance against the ruling class.

Karachi Bachao Tehreek strongly condemns the forced eviction of living people living with us in the name of Afghan refugees and appeals to all progressive forces, people and intellectuals to join hands against the state instead of supporting it.
All other differences can be resolved through dialogue and understanding, but it is important that we become one voice against all injustice.
